Market Movers
The largest price moves on both venues, with the news beside them.
The tool runs at /movers and needs a $49.99/mo membership. There is no free tier and no trial, so opening it signed out lands on the pricing page rather than the board. This page is the open documentation of what it does.
Market Movers is six boards on one page, because movement looks different on each venue. Polymarket exposes prices and a public trade tape; Kalshi exposes an anonymous tape with block flags and taker sides. Rather than flatten those into one misleading list, each gets the treatment its data supports.
Alongside the top mover sits a related-headlines panel, which is there to answer the question a price move always raises and never answers by itself.
Polymarket movers, weighted by depth
The Polymarket board takes the most active markets and ranks them by a move score: the absolute twenty-four-hour price change multiplied by the logarithm of the market's liquidity. A fifteen-cent move on a deep book therefore outranks the same move on a book that one order could push.
That weighting exists because raw price change is dominated by dust markets, where a single small trade can print a huge percentage move that nobody could have traded at size.
The whale tape
A separate tab lists the exchange's largest recent prints above a two-thousand-dollar floor, with the wallet, the market, the side and the price. Order-book fill clips from the same wallet, market and side within a short window are merged into one logical trade, so a whale who filled in sixty clips shows as one order.
This is the un-scored view: it does not filter to tracked sharps, so it catches large money from wallets that have never appeared on a leaderboard.
The three Kalshi boards
Hot lists the venue's volume leaders from the open-market catalog, with auto-generated multi-game combination series excluded — they trade, but they are not boards anyone is watching. Blocks lists negotiated block prints ranked by notional. One-sided flow lists markets where taker prints are lopsided toward one side over the sampled tape, and the heatmap shows the same imbalance across series at a glance.
None of these attach an identity, because none can. A block print tells you size and direction and nothing about who arranged it.
The headlines panel
The panel searches a public news feed using the market's own question with the boilerplate stripped — the leading 'will', the trailing date clause — and lists what comes back, cached for ten minutes.
It is a search result placed next to a price move. It is not a causal claim, it will sometimes return nothing, and it will sometimes return something irrelevant that merely shares vocabulary with the market.
What it cannot tell you
Every tool has a boundary, and knowing where it sits is the difference between using one well and being misled by it. For Market Movers:
- A price move is not a reason. The headlines panel is a keyword search, not an explanation, and it can be empty or wrong.
- Kalshi rows are anonymous flow. There is no trader behind them that anyone can name.
- Hot is twenty-four-hour volume, which structurally favours large recurring boards over genuinely unusual activity.
- A block print can be one leg of a spread arranged off-book. Size is not direction of conviction.
- One-sided flow is measured over the sampled tape, not the market's whole history, so a quiet market can look lopsided on very few prints.
- There are no insider or momentum flags on this board. It reports movement; the interpretation is yours.
What it is built on
- Polymarket gamma catalog, for prices, twenty-four-hour change and liquidity behind the move score.
- Polymarket data-api large-trade tape for the whale board.
- Kalshi trade-api v2: the open-market catalog for hot markets, and the public trade tape for blocks, one-sided flow and the heatmap.
- A public news RSS search, keyed on the cleaned market question, for the related-headlines panel.
