Frequently Asked Questions
Short, honest answers about tracking sharp money on Polymarket and Kalshi.
What is WhaleTracks?
WhaleTracks is a real-time analytics platform for prediction markets. It tracks the wallets that consistently win on Polymarket, reads anonymous order flow on Kalshi, and turns both into 20 tools grouped as Track, Signals, Trade, and Plan — ranked leaderboards, a live large-trade feed, cross-exchange arbitrage, and position sizing among them. It is informational analytics only — not an exchange, broker, or financial advisor.
What do I get with a WhaleTracks membership?
Twenty tools in four groups. Track (5): Live Sharp Feed, Sharp Leaderboard, Portfolio Tracker, Watchlist, Forward Test. Signals (7): Sharp Consensus, Insider Radar, Fade Board, Market Movers, Fresh Markets, Rising Wallets, Alerts. Trade (5): Market Browser, Arbitrage Scanner, Overround Scanner, Market Analyzer, Weather Edge. Plan (3): Bankroll & Kelly, Event Calendar, Sharp Report. A JSON API covering sharps, consensus, insiders, and divergence is included at no extra cost.
How do you track whales on Polymarket?
Every Polymarket position sits on a public blockchain, so any wallet's trades, entry prices, and resolved profit can be read directly on-chain. WhaleTracks continuously scans that data, scores each wallet's settled history, and surfaces large trades from proven wallets in a live feed within seconds of them hitting the chain.
Can you see other people's positions on Polymarket?
Yes. Polymarket settles on-chain, which makes every wallet's open positions and trade history public by design. WhaleTracks organizes that public data — it never accesses private accounts and never touches anyone's funds.
What is a sharp trader in prediction markets?
A sharp is a trader whose results look like repeatable skill rather than luck or size: consistent returns on capital, a hit rate better than the prices they paid implied, and a record that holds up across many settled markets. Raw profit alone is a poor test — one lucky whale can top a profit leaderboard once and never again.
How does the Sharp Score work?
The Sharp Score is a 1-99 rating built from three inputs: settled profit (saturated so size alone can't buy a high score), return on investment, and hit rate versus price paid. It only counts resolved markets, requires a real sample of closed trades, and re-ranks on recent form so cold streaks show up. Past performance does not guarantee future results.
What is the Master Wallet?
The Master Wallet combines the Polymarket leaderboard's top 50 wallets into a single account view: one live PnL figure and one equity curve, drawn from the highest Sharp Scores among them. It updates in near real time from on-chain data.
Can you copy trade on Polymarket?
You can mirror trades manually, but blind copying has real frictions: you rarely get the sharp's entry price, you can't see whether a position is one leg of a hedge, and a strong history never guarantees the next trade. WhaleTracks grades each trade's copyability and treats sharp activity as intelligence to verify, not instructions to follow.
Does WhaleTracks cover Kalshi too?
Yes, with a different lens. Kalshi is a regulated centralized exchange with no public wallets, so instead of naming traders WhaleTracks reads aggregate order flow — the size and side of trades hitting each market — and scores the pressure. Kalshi signals are anonymous flow you weigh, not people you follow.
What is prediction market arbitrage?
When Polymarket and Kalshi price the same real-world event differently, buying the cheap side on one venue and the opposite side on the other can lock in a spread. WhaleTracks computes these gaps net of fees and flags the executable ones — but resolution rules can differ between venues, so no arb is truly risk-free.
Can WhaleTracks alert me when a sharp trades?
Yes, in the browser. You write rules — a named wallet trades, a named wallet exits, any high-score sharp enters, several sharps converge on one market, an insider flag, a large Kalshi print — and a browser notification fires when the live feed matches one. That is the only delivery channel: a WhaleTracks tab has to stay open for the rules to run, and there is no mobile push, no email, and no chat-app relay.
Does fading unprofitable wallets work?
Our backtest says no. Inverting these wallets' settled trades came out negative, because high-volume losers tend to realize their winners and hold their losers — so their closed trades are not fadeable. The Fade Board is a screen, not an edge: high-volume wallets that are net down over the window you choose, plus the positions they still hold. Treat it as research, not a trade signal.
How much does WhaleTracks cost?
Membership is $49.99/mo, cancel anytime. There is no free tier and no free trial. The guides, strategy articles, methodology, and comparison pages are open to everyone; all 20 tools — the live feed, the sharp leaderboard, the arbitrage and overround scanners, the insider radar, alerts, and the rest — require a membership.
Is WhaleTracks affiliated with Polymarket or Kalshi?
No. WhaleTracks is independent and unaffiliated with Polymarket, Kalshi, or Manifold. All data comes from their public APIs and public blockchains. Trading involves risk — never risk money you can't afford to lose.
WhaleTracks is informational analytics, not financial advice. Past performance does not guarantee future results.
